Jesus Changes Lives 2

Many individuals believe that they have Jesus but do not. When we receive Jesus the Son of God, He makes changes in us and our lives. Many people reject Jesus and try to change themselves but all their efforts fall short of what God requires.

Romans 3:23: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Jeremiah 13:23: Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.

Their efforts are like those of a little boy trying to lift himself off the ground by pulling upward on his bootstraps. It takes Divine power to change lives. A life with God in it is so different from a life without Him that He calls life without Him death.

John 5:24: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

1 John 3:14: We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

If Jesus has not changed you and your life you don*t have Him. When He changes a life, He wants to make numerous specific changes in that life. There are those that receive Jesus and then try to minimize His changes on their persons and their lives. They believe that the changes He wants to make would be too radical. Those individuals are pitiful. They don*t realize that His changes are blessings and the lack of His changes are a lack of blessings. I am sometimes pitiful. I sometimes try to minimize the changes he wants to make in me. We all do that and we are all pitiful at times. I am learning that the changes He wants to make are wonderful.

Romans 6:4: Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Romans 6:11: Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Samuel 25:29b: . . . the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life with the LORD thy God; . . .

Galatians 2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Romans 6:13: Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

The Bible gives many examples of lives that were changed when God came into them, too many to discuss here. Just a few you might study: Abram became Abraham. Sarai became Sara. Jacob became Israel. Simon became Peter. Saul became Paul. We should study the changes God made in individuals in the Bible, we should study the changes He has made in believers around us, I should study the changes He has made in me and you should study the changes He has made in you. If you find none, you still need to receive Jesus. If you find just a few, you need to ask Him to make as many as He wants in you and you should stop resisting Him. Try it, you will like it!
